In this course, students will learn social studies concepts integrated in reading, writing, and math activities. The course provides students with many opportunities to develop the social studies skills which are important tools and essential for exploring and discovering the world around us. Students will access content that adds interest and excitement to their learning. Each unit was developed to meet the goals and content objectives of the National Social Studies Education Standards throught the themes of Our World, Economics, and Geography. Exciting and informative aspects of social studies and technology are included within the course content. Links to the World Wide Web are incorporated into many lessons to provide enrichment and also to support emerging technology skills.
